The history
For nearly two decades, El Chiringuito Ibiza has been shaped by a clear philosophy: attention to detail, genuine hospitality and creating something truly special by the sea.
Set in the natural surroundings of Es Cavallet, El Chiringuito has become one of Ibiza’s most iconic beach destinations — a place where gastronomy, atmosphere and the rhythm of the island come together through a deeply considered experience.
Founded by Olivia Fleury and Jonathan Thorogood, El Chiringuito was created with the vision of building more than a restaurant: a space defined by warmth, character and a way of making people feel at home.
Now entering its 18th season, El Chiringuito continues to evolve with intention. Under Jonathan Thorogood’s leadership, this new chapter introduces a renewed culinary direction led by Head Chef Ángel Zapata, alongside Restaurant Manager Edoardo Agnelli, strengthening the next era of El Chiringuito while staying true to the essence that has defined it from the beginning.
